1. Ticketing & Registration
Tickets are sold subject to the Terms and Conditions, rules and policies displayed on the premises. All riders must complete the Membership Application, Release and Indemnity Form before purchasing tickets, and must agree to and accept the rules of the track and the terms of the indemnity form before buying. Drivers under 18 require parent/guardian consent. Tickets are supplied on a per-person basis, are non-transferable, and are valid for the date of purchase only.
2. Refunds
Once you enter the track, refunds are not permitted. If a karting session is purchased and you have entered the track to commence your session, a refund is not permitted from that moment.
No refunds will be given for uncompleted rides. Management reserves the right to terminate any driver's karting session without refund where it is determined they are affected by drugs or alcohol, or where conduct rules are breached.
If a race event is cancelled or postponed by Kart Mania due to unforeseen circumstances, drivers will receive a replacement pass for the unused portion of their ticket, valid for 3 months from the date of the original booking. Refer to our refund policy as displayed on the premises for full details.
3. Health Warning & Assumption of Risk
Because of the forces and excitement created by go-karting, riders should be in good health and free from physical limitations or medical conditions — including but not limited to neck weakness, back weakness, recent surgery, broken bones, heart conditions, nervous disorders, motion sickness and epilepsy. Management recommends pregnant women do not ride without medical approval.
Kart racing can be dangerous. Serious injury may occur, as other riders may be of limited skill and ability. All riders accept the risks associated with racing in mixed groups and must obey all instructions from track marshals.
It is the responsibility of the supervising carer or guardian of anyone of diminished intellectual or physical capacity to notify Kart Mania Gepps Cross in writing. For safety reasons, people with diminished capacity are not permitted to participate in Sprint or Endurance events.
4. Driver Requirements
Arrive & Drive / Junior Grand Prix: 12 years & 150cm minimum.
Standard / Super Grand Prix: 16 years & 150cm minimum.
Dual Karts: Driver 18+ & 150cm; Passenger 5+ & 110cm.
Weight limit: 110kg maximum.
Management recommends individuals with heart conditions, recent surgery, back/neck weakness, epilepsy, or motion sickness obtain medical approval before riding.
5. Dress Standards & Property
All riders must wear enclosed protective footwear — a limited range of loan shoes is available at the counter. Long-sleeve protective clothing is recommended. No free-flowing robes, scarves or loose clothing is permitted on the karts or rides. For driver safety, all hair longer than shoulder length must be tied up and retained inside the helmet.
Lost property: Management does not look after personal belongings and will not accept claims for lost property. Please use the lockers provided for valuables.
Damage to property: Due to the physical exertion placed on riders, you should make your own assessment of the forces of the ride. By purchasing a ticket you accept the risk of damage to clothing and belongings.
6. Track Rules & Conduct
All riders must observe the marshals' instructions and behave in a sensible and proper manner on and off the rides. Zero tolerance for foul language or abusive behaviour — offenders will be asked to leave. Management reserves the right to terminate any driver's karting where it is determined they are affected by drugs or alcohol. No refunds will be given for uncompleted rides.
No glass policy: Any glass containers in your possession must be handed in on entry. They will be returned on request when you exit. Containers not collected within 7 days will be treated as abandoned and may be disposed of.
No dogs policy: Due to local council bylaws, no dogs are permitted on site.
Sun safety: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat. We also recommend drinking plenty of water while you're with us.
Event organisers are responsible for the conduct of their invited guests and must ensure all drivers comply with the track rules as displayed and follow marshal instructions.
7. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
Event Minimums: Endurance Events require 18 drivers minimum; Grand Prix requires 8.
Deposits: Non-refundable deposit (equivalent to 4 karts) required at least 2 weeks prior.
Payments: Cash, EFT, and Credit Cards accepted (surcharges may apply for Amex).
Cancellations: 14 days written notice required to alter or cancel a booking. Cancelling without the required written notice forfeits all monies paid.
Rescheduling: Any event rescheduled by the client less than 14 days prior will incur full loss of the deposit paid.
Special requirements: Driver numbers, trophies and catering must be finalised, confirmed in writing and all outstanding monies paid 7 days prior to the event date.
No shows: Final driver numbers must be confirmed 7 days prior. Minimum numbers apply and no refunds or credits are given for no-shows.
8. Event Logistics
Arrival: All drivers must arrive 45 minutes prior. Late arrivals may result in a shortened event without refund.
Race formats: Arrive & Drive sessions are 10 minutes. Grand Prix events are 8 laps per heat. Endurance events run by the selected timing session.
Inclement weather: It is at management's discretion whether to continue racing the full track. Drivers may continue if precipitation is light and intermittent; where constant rain falls, management may switch to the full indoor track.
Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the organiser is an acceptance on behalf of your whole group to adhere to the Terms and Conditions and the rules and policies of Kart Mania Gepps Cross.
